Welcome to my passion project. I’ve always considered myself lucky. For as long as I can remember, I have been able to pick “lucky” scratchers, “lucky” numbers, and even went so far as to use my lucky player hunches to fashion a “lucky” team and streamlined a 2012 fantasy football championship. It was the first and last time I played and it was to prove to my then boyfriend that I could manifest the win. And I did.
The start of 2022 found me with two under two (20 months apart) and the end of 2022 found me completing chemotherapy, two weeks shy of my daughter’s first birthday. A first birthday I sadly have no memory of thanks to chemo brain.
Facing the diagnosis of an incurable cancer with two young toddlers left me questioning my reality. I couldn’t make sense of my life. I had to look inward and while there, I found something unexpected. It turns out that all the time I thought I had luck on my side, it was my own doing. I am my own good luck charm.
As I approach one year of completing treatment, I find that I have put to the side a ten year legal career, focused on my healing, and intent on living with purpose.
I hope to inspire as I share on my understanding, healing and growth. While here, I hope you discover that you too are your own good luck charm.
